J-ASP provides ASP to JSP/Servlet Conversion and runtime that allow you to migrate ASP applications and run them on J2EE Platforms. Following figure shows how the J-ASP works when migrating an application and running it on J2EE Platoforms.
J-ASP provides a ASP to JSP/Servlet Conversion tool to migrate an ASP application
The Conversion is a GUI-based application. You use it to migrate the ASP application for deployment. After you specify its root directory, output directory, and any virtual directories that it uses, the Conversion:
After convert the ASP application, please go to the Output directory, and pack the
Output directory to a Web Archive file(.war) using the jar utility.
For example: jar -cvf myapp.war .
After you convert the application, you must deploy it to the Web Server that supports JSP/Servlet. J-ASP provides a runtime to run the convreted applications. J-ASP Runtime is a collection of Java libraries, it enables the migrated application to run in a J2EE environment, and supports many third-party ASP components, such as: XMLDOM, UPload, SMTP-Mailer etc.
